Your notes stay on your device

Web Sticky Notes stores the notes you create and the webpage addresses they belong to in your Chrome profile on your device. It does not send them to us or to third parties.

What the extension stores

To show your notes again, the extension stores your note text, the webpage address, and note settings such as color, size, position, and whether a note is minimized.

How that information is used

It is used only to create, save, show, manage, back up, restore, and export your notes. Web Sticky Notes has no account, analytics, advertising, profiling, or cloud sync.

Deleting and backing up notes

Notes remain in your Chrome profile until you delete them, remove the extension, or remove that Chrome profile. Removing the extension removes its local notes. Before doing that, you can download a JSON backup or a readable Markdown archive. Those files can include your note text and webpage addresses, so store them somewhere you trust.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

Web Sticky Notes handles Chrome user data only to provide its single purpose: creating and retrieving notes attached to webpages. It does not sell user data or use it for advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or unrelated purposes. The extension does not use Google APIs or request Google account data.
